Abt 1907 Christine married Arthur Hans in Belgium. Born on 11 Mar 1878 in Sint-Maria-Horebeke, Oost Vlaanderen, Belgium. Arthur died in Melrose, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, on 12 Mar 1967; he was 89.10

In 1908 Arthur and Christine Hans resided at 46 Beach Street, Woburn and by 1910 were at 54 Bow Street, Woburn. In the birth records of his daughters, Athur Hans was described at a commercial traveller and a salesman.

He was born in Belgium, came to the United States in 1902 and was naturalized. Christine Hans was born in Denmark, came to the United States in 1899, and was naturalized. Christine Hans was born in Denmark, immigrated to the United States in 1895, and was naturalized in 1908. The children were born in Massachusetts. The 1930 United States federal census states that Arthur and Christine Hans with four children resided 19 Ward Street, Woburn, Massachusetts. They owned their own home which was valued at US $2800.00. Arthur Hanswas a bulbgrower working with gladioli. He was born in Belgium, immigrated to the United States in 1903, was naturalized, and spoke Flemish. Christine Hans was born in Denmark, immigrated to the United States in 1894, and was naturalized. Born on 19 Dec 1882 in Thisted Købstad, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark.12 Dorothea was baptized in Thisted Købstad, Hundborg herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 14 Jan 1883.12 Dorothea died in Natal, Union of South Africa, on 7 Mar 1954; she was 71. She was never married.

Dorothea Marie Sorensen acquired a United States passport (no. 39390) on 2 November 1916 for the purposes of travelling to Southern Africa as a missionary for the Scandinavian Alliance Mission of North America. She left the United States on 23 December 1916. She initially worked in Swaziland from January 1917 to September 1920. From September 1920 to January 1924 she was at Ubombo, Zululand (Natal), South Africa. She applied for a new passport on 7 January 1924 at the United States Consulate at Durban, Natal, South Africa. Presumably she remained at Ubombo until she died in 1954.

95. Rasmus (Robert) Sorensen (Dorthea Marie Poulsdatter6, Poul Iversen Kirkegaard5, Helvig Kirstine Jensdatter4, Jens Nielsen3, Niels Jensen Habeck2, Jens Christensen Habek1). Born on 6 Oct 1885 in København, Denmark. Rasmus (Robert) died in Chester, Delaware Co., Pennsylvania, on 28 Nov 1977; he was 92.

On 7 Sep 1907 Rasmus (Robert) married Mette Marie Nielsen Munk, daughter of Poul Christian Nielsen Munk & Kirsten Christensen, in Maine.34 Born on 21 May 1884 in Hvidbjerg, Refs herred, Thisted amt, Denmark. Mette Marie Nielsen was baptized in Hvidbjerg, Refs herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 21 May 1884. Mette Marie Nielsen was baptized in Hvidbjerg, Refs herred, Thisted amt, Denmark, on 13 Jul 1884.

Mette Marie Nielsen immigrated to the United States via Great Britain from Denmark in 1904. She registered her intent to emigrate on 4 February 1904. The emigration registration states that she was born at Barslev, Hvidbjerg parish (Tyholm), Thisted County. She intended to go to Boston, Massachusetts. She was a seamstress (Syerske).

Mette Marie Nielsen changed her named according to the Hvidbjerg parish records. The notation on her baptismal record states that she changed her name to Metta Marie Munk on 8 February 1905.

Robert and Metta Sorensen resided at 104 Water St., Medford, Massachusetts according to the 1910 U.S. federal census. They had been married for two years and had no children by 1910. Robert Sorensen was as a painter. They both immigrated to the United States from Denmark. Robert Sorensen immigrated in 1892 and was naturalized. Born on 11 Apr 1887 in København, Denmark. Paul Kirkegaard died in Woburn, Middlesex Co., Massachusetts, on 12 Sep 1956; he was 69.

Paul Kirkegaard Sorensen enlisted in the Canadian Expeditionary Force in Winnipeg, Manitoba on 3 November 1917. His Attestation Paper stated that his next of kin was Dorthea Sorenson, 8 Gours Ave, Medford, Mass. He indicated that he was a painter. He was 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a fair complexion, blue eyes and light hair. The attestation further indicates that he had normal 20/20 vision. He was Baptist. At the time of enlistment, he resided at the Vendome Hotel, Seattle, Washington.

Paul K. Sorensen resided at 81 Belmont Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts according to the 1910 U.S. federal census. He was a boarder in the household of Margaret Landrigan. Paul Sorensen was a gardener at a cemetery [Mount Auburn Cemetery?]. He emigrated from Denmark in 1894 and was naturalized. (T624-596, Massachusetts, Middlesex Co., ED 781, Cambridge, p. 26A)

According to the 1930 U.S. federal census Paul K. and Elogy W. Sorensen with their two sons resided at 68 Templeton Place, Boston, Massachusetts. Paul Sorensen was a waiter at a hotel. He immigrated to the United States from Denmark in 1895 and was naturalized. Elogy Sorenson was born in Massachusetts. The children were born in Florida. The 1920 U.S. federal census states that Axel Sorensen, his wife, daughter and mother-in-law resided at 15 Sturgis Street, Woburn, Massachusetts. Axel Sorensen was a retail salesman in a periodicals store. He immigrated to the United States from Denmark in 1895 and was naturalized in 1900. They owned their own home which was valued at US $4000.00. Axel Sorensen was private family chauffeur. He was naturalized in 1907. Eva Tochette was born in Michigan. The children were born in Massachusetts. Residing with them was Eva Sorensen's mother Victorias Touchette who was seamstress in a dressmaking store. Ellen Laura Amalie Jensen emigrated from Denmark to the United States in September 1907. She travelled to the United States via Great Britain. When she emigrated, Ellen Jensen was residing in Copenhagen where she had been born. Her stated destination in the Danish emigration registration records was to be Boston, Massachusetts.
