5. Joseph Beers (Joseph1). Born on 23 Jun 1796 in Cherry Valley, Lot 50, Prince Edward Island. Joseph was baptized in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on 26 Feb 1797. Joseph died in Cherry Valley, Lot 50, Prince Edward Island, on 2 Jan 1872; he was 75.

Joseph Beers and his family resided at Lot 50, Queens County, P.E.I. according to the provincial census of 1841. There were eight members in the household of which seven were Anglican and one Roman Catholic. Joseph Beers was a farmer who held 100 acres of land in fee simple. Of the acreage, 40 acres were arable. The census indicated that the 100 acres was considered 2nd best quality. In 1840 the family grew 25 bushels of wheat, 150 bushels of oats, and 300 bushels of potatoes. Joseph Beers owned one horse, four neat cattle, six sheep and two hogs. Seven family members were native of the colony while one was a native of Ireland.

Joseph married Ellen Donovan. Ellen died on 25 Jan 1895 in Cherry Valley, Lot 50, Prince Edward Island.

6. Matilda Maria Beers (Joseph1). Born on 17 Jan 1798 in Cherry Valley, Lot 50, Prince Edward Island. Matilda Maria was baptized in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on 13 Aug 1798.

In 1818 Matilda Maria married John Cavanaugh in Prince Edward Island.

They resided at Cherry Valley, Prince Edward Island.

They had one child:

7. Henrietta Christina Beers (Joseph1). Born on 7 Dec 1799 in Cherry Valley, Lot 50, Prince Edward Island. Henrietta Christina was baptized in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on 17 Feb 1801. Henrietta Christina died in Lot 50, Prince Edward Island, on 26 Jun 1886; she was 86.

On 3 Jan 1821 Henrietta Christina married William Spencer Crane in Prince Edward Island. Born in 1797 in Prince Edward Island. William Spencer died in Lot 50, Prince Edward Island, on 21 May 1880; he was 83.

8. Margaret Beers (Joseph1). Born on 18 Mar 1802 in Cherry Valley, Lot 50, Prince Edward Island. Margaret was baptized in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on 11 Mar 1804. Margaret died in Cherry Valley, Lot 50, Prince Edward Island, on 6 Jan 1881; she was 78. Buried on 9 Jan 1881.

9. Thomas Beers (Joseph1). Born on 27 Apr 1804 in Cherry Valley, Lot 50, Prince Edward Island. Thomas was baptized in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, on 21 Jan 1805.

On 26 Jul 1831 Thomas married Mary MacLeod.

Maria married Joseph Cavendish Willock.
