The 1881 census states that Fred and Susannah Howes with their children resided at Ashtons yard, St. John's parish, Huntingdon. Frederick Howes was a groom. He was born at Great Stukeley, his wife at Greenstead, Essex, and the children at Huntingdon. Susannah's niece also resided with the family. (RG 12, piece 1237, folio 168, p. 9)

His daughter Sarah was an hosiery machinist. David and his wife were born at Great Stukeley while all the children were born in Derby. Residing in the household was George H. According to the 1891 census, Jacob Howes and his family resided at Green End, Great Stukeley. He was a general labourer. His wife Martha had a daughter by her previous marriage: Florence Orton, age 6, born at Little Stukeley, Hunts. (RG 12, piece 1237, folio 184, p. 9)

Jacob, Martha and Clara Howes resided at 17 Waverly Street, Long Eaton, Derbyshire according to the 1901 census. Jacob was a labourer in a lace mill. The 1901 census shows that Isaac and Charlotte Howes and their family resided at 13 Northville Terrace, Emmanuel parish, Nottingham, Notts. He was a road navvy by occupation. He and his were born in Great Stukeley while his wife was born in “Ellon”, Notts and their daughter in Nottingham. (RG 13, piece 3178, folio 65, p. 6)
In Sep 1897 Isaac married Charlotte Ann Bradley, daughter of Charles Bradley & Ann Roberts, in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England. Born in 1876 in Elton, Nottinghamshire, England. Charlotte Ann died in Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire, England, in Jun 1921; she was 45.
