The Grand Family Reunion and Seminar Day was organized to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Lunenburg in 2003. ?The concept of the Reunion was to give Lunenburgers and "Lunenburgers from away" a chance to meet and exchange genealogical information and 'come home'. ??Dr. Paulsen presented genealogical research on several families from which is descended. ?He also organized the seminar ?day on 14 July 2003. ?Attendees heard Dr. Terrence Punch speak about Dr. Winthrop Pickard Bell and the German States from which the settlers came, Clary Croft speak about the folklore of Lunenburg County, Deborah Trask present a slide presentation of the Germanic gravestones of Lunenburg County, Cameron Royce Jess give a reading from his forthcoming novel Bearer of the Chosen Seed, and Dr. Kenneth Paulsen speak about land ownership in Lunenburg Township and inheritance patterns in early Lunenburg.
