The parish register of Zion Lutheran Church in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia refers to Isac Salzmann as the fsther of Casper Friedrich Salzmann. The place of origin in recorded as "Malchs", Mecklenburg. The closest spelling of "Malchs" is Malchin, but a review of the Malchin parish records revealed no Salzmann family in that community.
