He was a porter and a tailor. William Walker was a widower who had been born at Ludlow, Shropshire. (RG 10, piece 2724, folio 89, p. 35)

He is listed fourth in the workhouse just after the governor, matron and governess. He was born at Ludlow, Shropshire and was a widower (RG 9, piece 1835, folio 57, p. 11)

abt 1829 William married Susan Wall, daughter of William Wall & Susanna Body. Born in Sep 1801 in Stanton Lacy, Shropshire, England. Susan was baptized in Stanton Lacy, Shropshire, England, on 27 Sep 1801. Susan died in Ludlow, Shropshire, England, on 27 Feb 1839; she was 37.
